Tampa is one of Florida’s 4 largest areas and is known as the Tampa Bay Area. It is located on the east side of Tampa Bay.
The Tampa area has some the United States best beaches which are located across the bay.
There are lots of activities year-round in the different parts of Tampa Bay especially on weekends. With this in mind, you will have no trouble finding something to do.
Tampa is located in the Central Florida along the Gulf Coast.
Tampa is a very friendly city with as we stated above plenty to do.
One thing that those who live and work in the Tampa/St Petersburg hate with a passion is the drive over the Howard Franklin Bridge. It is a nightmare plain and simple especially at evening rush hour which starts after 3 in the afternoon. At least people claim the reason they do attend Rays baseball games in person is because they do not want to drive over the bridge. In breaking it down it is one the worst if not worst drives on the Continent.
Best Places to Stay
- Since Tampa covers a large area it will be best to live somewhere in the vicinity or the part town your main job is located.
- Most extended stays are located on the west side of the bay in the Clearwater area.
Where not to Stay
- Would be difficult to live on one side of the Bay and get to the other side.
- Extended Stays in St Petersburg are not recommended.
Transportation/Driving
- Rush hour traffic is as horrible as it gets.
- Traffic accidents on the Howard Franklin will make driving over it worse
