San Antonio is home to several military installations including 2 Air Force Bases. San Antonio also boasts a wide variety of industries including oil, insurance, finance, and several corporate call centers. Jobs in the IT community are very prevalent.
San Antonio is considered a liberal city.
Despite contrary review, not all people in Texas or San Antonio carry guns and I know most Californians and people in the northeast believe an OK Corral shootout occurs every day somewhere in Texas, but this is not true. If taking a position in San Antonio or anywhere else in Texas, if you enter a place where alcoholic beverages are served you will see a sign when you enter the establishment and one behind the bar that will warn you about the consequences of having a gun or any other weapon on the premises which will up to ten years in prison. Texas does have a self-defense laws which allow you to protect yourself.
